The late 65-year-old comedian was best known for playing Danny Tanner ABC’s sitcom Full House and voicing narrator Ted Mosby on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother.
He was found unresponsive in his room at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, but at the time of writing this, his cause of death is unknown.
Many Online writers have reported that as per the official Orange County Sheriff’s Office police report, he was found in a ‘supine position’, but what does that mean? Here’s a full explanation.
‘Supine position’ meaning
If someone is in a ‘supine position’ it means they are lying horizontally with their face and torso facing up.
Essentially, it is an official way of saying ‘lying on their back’ and is often used in police reports.
It is the opposite of the ‘prone position’ which is when someone is lying face down on their stomach.
Hotel staff member discovers Bob Saget’s demise
An official incident report from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and 911 call, both obtained by PEOPLE, reveal specific details about Bob Saget’s tragic death.
The comedian was found “unresponsive” with “no pulse” by a hotel staff member who told police that he was “not breathing”.
Jody Lee Harrison claimed she entered the actor’s room to “check on his well-being” as he had been due to check out and his family was failing to contact him.
After knocking several times and gaining no response, she found Bob “in a supine position” and he was “cold to the touch”.
“No signs of foul play”
