Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins family has released an animated video that details the incident when Alec Baldwin had shot and killed the former on the shot. Yes, the animated video was shared on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, and has been surfacing on the internet now. The 10-minute long video features a CGI recreation of the entire incident. It shows Alec sitting on a church pew in the New Mexico movie set while the cinematographer was standing in front of him. Meanwhile, Baldwin pulled out the gun and pulled the trigger of a Colt .45 revolver.
The video shows the actor pulling out his revolver and aiming it toward Hutchins. With that, the bulled flies towards Hutchins resulting in her getting collapsed while two other people helped her up. The narrator in the video also breaks down the incident telling how Hutchins was shot and how the production team failed to execute safety standards on set. The video also shows animations of screenshots of emails and texts messages from several crew members alleging that throughout the filming process, weapons was a “massive” problem.
The narrator also alleged the actor for not inspecting the weapon before using it on the cinematographer. Apart from that, it is also reported that Baldwin refused to get any proper training before using the weapon that caused the cinematographer to die. To add, the clip has been released as a part of a new wrongful death lawsuit that Hutchins’ family has filed on Baldwin, the film’s armorer, and other producers. The family has also accused the mentioned people of showing reckless behaviour and cost-cutting that unfortunately led to Hutchin’s death on October 21, 2021.
It is stated that Alec was reportedly rehearsing a scene with a gun. However, the actor had said that the assistant director had told him that it was a “cold gun”. The lawsuit filed against Baldwin along with seven producers and five crew members alleges that the production team hired inexperienced and unqualified armourers and crew members that were unqualified and inexperienced among other things.
Lawyers who are representing Hutchins’ family have also accused Baldwin of disregarding at least 15 industry standards while being on set which makes the matter clear. Brian Panish, Hutchins’ family attorney, stated that Alec had the gun in his hand and he shot Hutchins which resulted in her spot death. The matter seems to be getting a lot of attention from people all around the country.
