Anthony Lovett Identified As The Man Stabbed To Death By A Woman inside Lake Ave
Anthony Lovett, 59, has been identified as a convenience store employee who was stabbed to death Monday morning at a Lake Avenue business by a woman he knew, according to Rochester Police Department.
Emergency responders arrived to find Anthony Lovett, 59, an employee at the store, had been fatally stabbed, Umbrino said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers were called to 462 Lake Ave. around 9:25 a.m. after it was reported that a person had been stabbed, said Officer Carlos Alvarado of the Rochester Police Department.
Jamie Lynn Prescott, 29, who was apprehended at the scene, was charged with second-degree murder in connection with Lovett’s death, Umbrino said. She is accused of stabbing Lovett several times in his head and body.
Lake Avenue was closed for several hours between Emerson Street and Phelps Avenue as police investigated at the scene. Further details about what occurred were not immediately released. Prescott is scheduled to be arraigned in City Court at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
