The Kannada film actress and popular theatre artist, Bhargavi Narayan sadly passed away at the age of 84. She was a popular Indian film actress who mostly worked in the Kannada film industry and was also a theatre artist in Karnataka.

Being an actress, Bhargavi Narayan was a notable writer who breathed last on Monday, February 14, 2022, in the evening around 07:30 PM. At the time of her passing, she was 83-years-old. The cause of her death has not been revealed yet but the sources are believing that she was suffering from age-related illnesses.

On her passing, the Narayan family said that she had pledged her body and that they have donated her mortal remains to St. John’s Hospital in Bengaluru. The passing of the actress made everyone cry in the film industry as she was a notable and beloved actress who had worked with some popular stars.

She was married to Belavadi Nanjudaiah Narayanan, fondly called Makeup Nani. Maybe, many people don’t know about this but the actress was the grandmother of Kannada actress Samyukta Hornad.

Samyukta expressed her sorrow and wrote through an Instagram post,” My grandma, Bhargavi Narayan, Ajj Bhajji to all, passed away at around 07:30 PM this evening, 14/2/2022. The body will be kept at our family home – Greenroom, 276/C, 37th A Cross, 8th Block Jayanagar, till 11 AM tomorrow, 15th Feb”.

Bhargavi Narayan was born on February 4, 1938 to Naamagiriyamma and M. Ramaswamy. She tied a knot to Belavadi Nanjudaiah Narayana, who was a make artist and a Kannada film actor as well. The couple had four children together: Sujatha, Prakash, Pradeep, and Sudha.

There is an autobiography of Narayan’s, Naanu, Bhargavi which was released in 2012. The book was also won awards from Karnataka State Sahitya Academy, Karnataka Sangha, Shimoga, and Srimati Gangamma Somappa Bommai Pratishthana, Dharwad.

The actress had worked in more than 22 films and many theatre dramas in Kannada. She also appeared in the television series Manthana and Mukta. Bhargavi also wrote and directed plays for AIR’s women’s program and Women’s Association for Children, Karnataka. The actress has worked as a member of Kannada Natak Academy.

Before giving her appearance in the industry, she has worked as a manager in ESI Corporation, Bengaluru. Here are some books are written by her – Naa Kanda Nammavaru which is published by Ankita Pustaka. She was the speaker at the Bangalore Literature Festival 2018, Bengaluru. The actress will be remembered by her loved ones.
