Kirk is the father of four-year-old son Harry and five-year-old daughter Violet.
Talking about his troubles has helped Kirk, who is now determined to help others with suicidal thoughts lest they suffer the same fate as his father.
Kirk, an ambassador for suicide aid group Papyrus, talks to people suffering like his father every day, and estimates he helps “10 to 20 people a day”.
