How Did Anthony Williams Die? Cause of Death Basketball Player Killed In Rocklin Crash


Anthony Williams, a student and Basketball player at Inderkum High School, has died after meeting with a tragic crash. School officials confirm the saddening piece of news. Thet said that a deadly crash claimed the life of the young student. It is reported that the crash occurred on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Deidra Powell, Natomas Unified School District spokesperson, confirmed the news on Sunday. Powell said that they are deeply saddened by the devastating loss of Anthony who was a student-athlete who attended Inderkum High School. It was added that the student had joined the school this year only.

Deidra Powell further said that in that short time, Anthony Williams contributed to the school on and off the court and that he will be deeply missed. Powell said that their thoughts and prayers go to his family, friends, and all those who knew and loved him. Let us add that before joining Inderkum High School, Anthony was a student at Whitney High School and other schools in Rocklin previously. As the news of the student’s passing was announced, the Inderkum Basketball team shared an emotional post on Instagram.

Posting a photograph of Anthony, the team wrote that they are devastated by the loss of their family Anthony Williams and further asked everyone to keep him in their hearts and prayers. Talking about the crash, it happened on Saturday around 8:30 PM on Lonetree Boulevard and Adams Drive. Rocklin Police said that the incident occurred when a driver hit a pedestrian. However, the driver is said to be cooperating with the investigation.

On Sunday, Rocklin Police referred KCRA 3 to the Placer County coroner’s officer. The cops are investigating the case thoroughly and are trying to find out the details as well. Natomas Unified School District spokesperson Deidra Powell described Anthony Williams as a “powerhouse” basketball player. Earlier, the school district could not identify the student by name. Later the Inderkum Basketball Team identified him as Williams and shared a post on Instagram.

Aiden Acosta who was a friend of Anthony expressed his sadness on his demise. Aiden said that he was like a brother to him and that he had known him for a while. It was added that they both have been playing basketball since the first grade and he meant so much to everybody. After the announcement of the news, meant people paid respects to Anthony Sunday night in Rocklin. Currently, the investigation is ongoing.
