Jon Gould Andy warhol death & obituary, cause of death – Whats happened?: Jon Gould joined the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice in January 2020 as a Distinguished Professor and Dean of the School.

Before joining ASU, he was the founding director of the Washington Institute of Public Affairs and chair of the Department of Justice, Law, and Criminology at American University.

He served as principal investigator for the Wrongful Conviction Prevention Project, a multi-year research program funded by the National Institute of Justice. Most recently, during the Obama administration, Gould was appointed senior policy advisor to the U.S. Department of Justice and director of the National Science Foundation’s Legal and Social Sciences Program.

Professor Gould is an internationally renowned expert on judicial policy, social change and government reform. The author of four books and more than 50 articles, he writes on topics as diverse as false convictions, vulnerable defenses, innovation in prosecution, police conduct, hate speech, sexual harassment, and international human rights. His first book, Speak No Evil: The Triumph of Hate Speech Control, was a co-winner of the 2006 Herbert Jacob Law and Society Award for Best Book. His second book, “The Innocence Commission: Preventing Wrongful Convictions and Restoring the Criminal Justice System,” was honored by the American Library Association as a Distinguished Scholar. Professor Gould has also received awards for his teaching and service.

Professor Gould’s research has received generous external support and has been cited in multiple court cases and court decisions. He has received grants from the National Institute of Justice and the National Science Foundation, and has received support from several private foundations, state and local governments, and the Government of Canada. He is regularly consulted by domestic and foreign governments and NGOs.

Before joining American University, Professor Gould was an associate professor and director of the Center for Justice, Law, and Society at George Mason University. He is an attorney in the Washington, DC office of Mayer, Brown and Platt. Employed; helped direct the International Institute of Human Rights Law program; and served on the national staff of two presidential campaigns.

Professor Gould is a member of the American Bar Foundation and a former member of the United States. Supreme Court. He has served on various charity committees and is a trustee of the Law and Society Society. In 2015, U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts appointed him as a reporter for a federal court committee tasked with evaluating the application of the Criminal Justice Act. Professor Gould received the 2017 American Justice Award. Supreme Court Fellows Association.
