The Saskatchewan RCMP issued a hazard alert for emergency personnel following a shooting in Langham, Saskatchewan, on Friday. The Langham is located approximately 20 miles northwest of Saskatoon.

The RCMP are asking everyone in the area to seek shelter immediately and shut and lock their doors. The RCMP also advises anyone in the area not to hitchhike. The suspect, a male, was last seen on foot and is believed to be armed, according to the RCMP.

As of 7:40 a.m., police said the suspect’s whereabouts were not known. Officials responded. If people saw the suspect, they were asked to call 911. People were asked not to disclose the location to police. The RCMP said in a news release that the shooting occurred in the community on Friday morning. The RCMP has not released any further details.
