Noah Fant contract 2022: What will happen to Noah Fant in Los Broncos in his fifth year

Noah Fant contract 2022: What will happen to Noah Fant in Los Broncos in his fifth year: After free agency and the NFL draft, Denver Broncos general manager George Parton had to make a decision on Noah Fant. Fant was a first-round pick in 2019, so he’s eligible for a fifth-year option for the 2023 season worth $6.657 million, according to OverTheCap.com.

The deadline to exercise Fant’s option is May 2, and the Broncos aren’t in a hurry to make a decision, but they do want him to be a part of the team going forward.

“We still have some time,” Payton said Tuesday at the NFL Combine. “Noah is a very talented player and we want to keep him here for a long time.”

If Fant goes to the Pro Bowl in one of his first three seasons, the 2023 option would be $9.332 million (a nod over the Pro Bowl would increase to $10.834 million). If Fant has fewer than 50 percent of his offensive steals since 2019, his option would be $6.253 million.

Under his current contract, if the Broncos exercise his option, Fant will become the 13th-highest-paid tight end in 2023. While Fant didn’t quite live up to the expectations of some fans, it wasn’t a bad number for a player who was sixth in receptions and 10th in yards last season.

Fant had 170 receptions for 1,905 yards and 10 touchdowns in his first three years in the NFL (47 games).
