One such NFL star, Anthony Harris loaned a helping hand to a young girl in need of someone to take her to a father-daughter dance. An 11-year-old girl named Audrey Soape living outside of Austin, Texas, lost her grandfather and father last year. The family had long been admirers of Harris, dating back to his days as a Minnesota Viking, and had certainly reached out via social media to ask if he wanted their prayers. Follow More Update On

Holly, the mother of Soape reached out to Eagle safety Harris to ask whether he would take Audrey to the dance. Much of her surprise as she is not expected but he said yes. Harris informed a news channel in Philadelphia that “I was just attempting to be a human. Attempting to take off the helmet, trying to take off the cape of what I do professionally and just view some sympathy for that family and attempt to view some sort of support there.”

Holly stated “He was so kind and so sweet and just made the whole night so special for her. It was really just them opening their arms. Harris stated of the previous outreaches of the family offering prayers. Prior to the dance, Harris bought a dress, shoes, and even make-up for Audrey.

Audrey said, “A normal player would probably be like I do not have time for this. I have to focus on next season or the playoffs. But he took time out of his busy schedule to take me, so that was quite special.”

The 30-year-old Harris, joined the Eagles this past season after 6 years with the Vikings. He talked about what he learned from the night. Harris said “You gotta cherish these lovely moments. You never know how long we have here on this globe. So, the people that you care about you and you love, view support for them.”

The mother of Audrey informed the news channel that the evening was “beyond a blessing”. I was so worried, anxious, and excited for her because she just had the most dreadful year. For someone to view up and to teach her that people do show up for you, it is just been beyond a blessing. Just the power of God and how he makes these situations occur has just been incredible and never forgettable.”
