Sandra Jean Wright Was Killed In A Hit-And-Run Crash In A San Bernardino
Sandra Jean Wright has been identified as the 65-year-old Highland woman who was killed walking in a San Bernardino intersection Sunday evening, Nov. 28, authorities said.
San Bernardino police officers responded to a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a car in the intersection of North Waterman Avenue and 10th Street around 6:09 p.m., police said. An unresponsive woman was found after being hit in the southbound lanes outside of the crosswalk of North Waterman Avenue by a white sedan, police said in a news release.
The white sedan was last seen driving through the nearby Waterman Discount Mall parking lot at 999 North Waterman Avenue and then heading east on 9th Street, authorities said. The pedestrian, who was identified as Sandra Jean Wright, was unable to be resuscitated and was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:18 p.m., according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
Reports say the authorities are looking for the driver in the hit-and-run crash. No further information about the suspect driver or car was immediately available. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Dan Acosta or Sergeant Jeff Harvey at 909-384-5792.
