At the time of his death, he was at his residence in Bengaluru. Ever since the disheartening news came to light, the industry has been mourning his death and are offering condolences to his family and friends. After the announcement of K V Raju’s death, several directors including Raghu V Shastry, Suni and director and lyricist Arasu Anthare have been expressing their grief over his sudden demise. Apart from them, numerous actors have also come forward and shared their sadness. Actor Sai Kumar took to his Twitter and wrote that his shocked and saddened to learn about the sudden demise of the director. He shared his condolences with Raju’s family and fans. Other actors also took to their respective social media accounts and paid the noted director sincere tributes.
Who Was K V Raju?
Talking about K V Raju, he began his career as an assistant director in Sandalwood. His first movie as an assistant director was “Baddada Hoo” which was released back in 1982. Two years later, Raju debuted with the film titled “Olave Baduku” as an independent director. He has given super hit movies to the industry including Belli Modagalu, Belli Kalungura, Huliya, and Yuddhakanda. These films helped K V Raju to get popularity in a short span of time. Undoubtedly, K V Raju’s contribution to the industry will always be remembered and cherished.
After impressing the South Indian audience with his great directorial films, Kannada director also forayed into Bollywood in 1991. He had directed Indrajeet that featured superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prasad in the lead role. Other than that, Raju was also associated with the 2017 released film Tiger Starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. He had penned dialogues and screenplay for the said film.
