Anthoni Cirra, according to a criminal complaint, was watching his friend’s 9-month-old boy on July 6 while the parents were at work. On the morning of July 7, Lochlan, a baby, was rushed to the emergency room at Children’s Wisconsin. Lochlan was apparently unconscious when he was admitted and had serious injuries. His injuries were “life-threatening and highly serious for child physical abuse,” according to the authorities. The following day, doctors removed Lochlan’s life support, and he was declared dead at around 7:19 o’clock, according to authorities.
According to a preliminary assessment, the baby had suffered a serious brain injury “consistent with receiving blunt force trauma to the head.” Anthoni Cirra assisted the victim’s mother and Lochlan’s father obtain positions at his place of business after they were matched by a common acquaintance. The same evening, the baby’s condition deteriorated, and when Lochlan’s mother stated that she wants to take the baby to the hospital, Cirra told her that she was overreacting. On the morning of July 7, the baby’s lips were blue and he was not breathing. As the boy’s mother performed CPR, Anthoni admitted his mistake and exclaimed this is his fault. Anthoni stated that he dropped the baby on the floor while he was giving him a bath. Anthoni’s bond is set at $50,000, according to jail reports.
