In 2015, she was named one of the most influential people on the internet by Time magazine. Furlan was born on September 5, 1986, in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, to Italian-American parents. Before becoming a Vine star, she tried to break into the TV industry and signed with content network Endemol.
Furlan was embroiled in controversy at the 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards red carpet show when she told actor Ryan Paevey, “We’ll keep you away from us before we rape you.”
Furlan has been in a relationship with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee since early 2017. On February 14, 2018, they announced their engagement on Instagram. A year later, they married on February 14, 2019.

While Fran is reluctant to dive headfirst into their relationship, having been cheated on before, Lee works hard to earn her trust and give her full access to his world. “He said, ‘Oh, well, I’ll give you the passcodes to my phone and all my devices, and if you don’t feel safe, you can watch whatever you want,’” she recalled in an episode of dating — Coach Tripp Kramer’s podcast How to Talk to Girls.
“He’s been amazing, very caring, very supportive, and…honestly, a great partner,” she continued. “Once you find someone who makes you feel safe, everything changes.”
Lee posed the question on Valentine’s Day 2018 with a sparkling heart-shaped diamond. A year later – and a fake marriage – Fran officially became Mrs. Lee. “I met someone I could trust because I didn’t trust anyone I’d dated before,” Fran said of her spouse on The American Meme. “I would say Tommy was my first true love and I’m finally safe and happy.”
