Cause Of Death?: On Wednesday July 27, 2022, North Kansas City Officer Daniel Vasquez will be laid to rest at Vineyard Church located at 12300 NW Arrowhead Trafficway, in Kansas City, MO. The public is welcome to show their support for the Vasquez family and the North Kansas City Police Department by participating in the funeral procession, which will take place immediately following the service.
Vineyard Church is located at 12300 NW Arrowhead Trafficway, Kansas City, MO. The procession will leave from there and travel down US-169 S to MO-9 S to Armour Road, onto I-35 and I-29 North, then onto 64th St East before arriving at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Parking will only be allowed on the side of Armour Road, and law enforcement honors will take place at the cemetery.
People attending the funeral should enter the cemetery from U.S. Highway 169, officials said. On Wednesday, July 19, 32-year-old Vasquez was killed during a traffic stop near 21st Street and Clay Street on a vehicle’s driver, according to police. 24-year-old Joshua Rocha was arrested in connection with his death, and is currently being held at the Clay County Detention Center without bond on charges of murder and armed criminal action.
Due to the public procession scheduled for Wednesday, traffic delays are expected in the area near the venues and along the route of the procession. The court hearing for Rocha is also scheduled for later in the week.
