
Johnson was a very promising pitcher before suffering a cruciate ligament rupture. He has quality stuff, and he’s recorded a 3.00 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 41 strikeouts in 27 innings in the High-A this year. Given that he turns 24 in September and likely won’t return to the game until the 2024 season, it’s possible the Orioles could turn him into a bench player in the next few years to get him into the majors quickly.
