Popular Bob & Tom Show host Tom Griswold is recovering from heart valve replacement surgery. According to a Dollinger Strategic Communications press release, the procedure was planned as a repair, but switched to an alternative surgery when it was determined that it would be better in the long run.
Griswold is expected to be away from the studio for several weeks, but is planning a home studio to shorten his return. Those wishing to send getwell messages can do so via getwell@bobandtom.com.
The cast of The Bob & Tom Show mixes talk, news and sports with an emphasis on comedy, including parodies, songs and more from a team of writers and performers. Q95 (WFBQ-FM 94.7) will perform nationally in Indianapolis. Griswold started the show in 1983 with the now-retired Bob Kevoian, according to the IndyStar files. Both were inducted into the National Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
