According to reports the latest crisis for Boris Johnson has come following Partygate, a no-confidence motion he survived along with two Bypoll defeats for his party. Rishi Sunak submitted his resignation letter to the government in which he wrote that for him to step down as Chancellor while the world is suffering the economic consequences of the pandemic, the war in Ukraine and other serious challenges is a decision that he has not taken lightly. The minister further added that the public rightly expects the government to be conducted competently, properly, and seriously.

Former Chancellor Rishi Sunak went on to write that he recognise that it might be his last ministerial job but he believes that these standards are worth fighting for and that it the reason he is resigning in the first place. On another hand, Sajid Javid, the Health Minister, said that it is with enormous regret that he must tell everyone that he can no longer continue serving in this government.
